Summertime at Cast Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cast Lake are in the 30's. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a spot to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a wonderful choice; Devils Meadow Campground       is a great local campground. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Timberline Lodge, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Devils Canyon Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to bump into some good folks from Hood River here; Zigzag River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. The Burnt Lake Trail is a                  nice hiking trail near Cast Lake, and hey, Lady Creek is a fine local stream. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Twin Bridges Campground is a nice campground nearby, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Dumbbell Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Mount Hood Inn, and great skiing awaits you at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. A good spot like Old Maid Flat here at Cast Lake is too great to miss, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River. So many exciting things to do here at Cast Lake, too fine to be true. While you're here at Cast Lake you can take a hike along the Cast Creek Trail, and from Cast Lake you obtain a great sight of Cape Horn. Yeah, come here to Cast Lake for a nice time. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Devils Lake is one of those close by.
