A pleasant place for whitewater paddling close to Cardiac Lake is McKenzie River - South Fork; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Cupit Mary Meadow Trail. The high level of rain makes Cardiac Lake a quite wet spot; during December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Cardiac Lake all through the summer are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures       are in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Cardiac Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lillian Falls is a good local attraction, and Shelter Cove Resort is a glorious local campground. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Do schedule some time to take a look at Klovdahl Bay near Cardiac Lake if you have a chance, and if you need                  a place to stay Best Western Oakridge Inn is a nice choice. Having a good time at Cardiac Lake is simple. A pretty lake like Last Lake in the neighborhood of Cardiac Lake is a good place to go to; a brilliant place like Cupit Mary Meadow here at Cardiac Lake is too great to miss. The sight of Cupit Mary Mountain from Cardiac Lake is pretty; Hills Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close by. So many entertaining things right next door to Cardiac Lake, absolutely mind-blowing. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Fig Lake near Cardiac Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Salmon Creek Trail. Visit Edith Creek while you're here at Cardiac Lake, and why not camp at Twin Springs Campground while you're here at Cardiac Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a perfect time. Gotta ski! Willamette Pass is a good site to do that, and going for a hike along the Waldo Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
