All through the summertime at Canyon Meadows Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Canyon Meadows Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This       is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. A good nearby hotel is Best Western John Day Inn. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Canyon Meadows Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ray Cole Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Blue Mountains. Canyon Creek Meadow is right here at Canyon Meadows Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Canyon Meadows Lake; Pine Creek Trail is a good local trail. Canyon                  Meadows Lake is mostly a rather dried out spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Burns - Days Inn Ponderosa is a great site to spend a night or two, and there's perfect hiking along the Canyon Creek Trail. Buckhorn Spring is a lovely place to stop by while you're at Canyon Meadows Lake, and Canyon Meadows Lake is a good spot to camp, Indian Springs Campground is a good spot.
