All year is a perfect time in the Blue Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Camping at Canyon City Reservoir is good fun, Ray Cole Campground is a good local campground, and it's a splendid idea to stop by Gold Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Go       for a hike on the Fawn Spring Trail, and the vista of pretty Eagle Peak is brilliant. So many fun things to do here in the Blue Mountains, too perfect to be true. Hacheney Spring is a good local attraction, and why not camp at Clyde Holliday if you're here at Canyon City Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Berry Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure, and you could always look at Blue Gulch. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Canyon City                  Reservoir has it all. For you golfers we recommend nearby John Day Golf Club, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western John Day Inn. Good hiking is available along the Canyon Mountain Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Burns - Days Inn Ponderosa is a perfect choice. Summertime at Canyon City Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Canyon City Reservoir.
