These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. All the water falling down from the sky makes Calamut Lake a wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is generally the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the vicinity of Calamut Lake. On a good day at Calamut Lake you can take a hike along the       Kelsay Way; if you haven’t been to Crater Lake National Park, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here. If the weather is delightful, you get a brilliant vista of Sawtooth Mountain from Calamut Lake, and camping is available at Lake Lucile Campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Calamut Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the winter highs are generally in the 40's;                  night lows in the 20's for Calamut Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Near Calamut Lake you locate the Sawtooth Way which is a good hiking trail; not far from Calamut Lake you'll come across Lake Charline which is a wonderful lake. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Lakes are delightful; Linda Lake is a lake that's near Calamut Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Shelter Cove Resort is a nice place to camp. This lake is so wonderful.
