Byron Reservoir is right by the Summit Mount Emily Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Broken Arrow Lodge is a nice site to camp. People from La Grande love to come to Byron Reservoir, and hey, Gotta ski right? Spout Springs is a pleasant spot to do that. Not much rainfall falls here at Byron Reservoir; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading.

| | A glorious close by hotel is Super 8 LaGrande; the slopes of Anthony Lakes are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Wrights Reservoirs is a lake in close proximity. Throughout the summer at Byron Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through
the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Byron Reservoir dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Grande Ronde River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Evans Trail.

Spout Springs
 | 21 miles away 9 PHOTOS ...esidences. Spout Springs opened in 1927 and was first known as the Blue Mountain Ski Club. Pete and Esther Eyraud were the first owners. Pete was the second President of Pacific Northwest Ski Instructors Association and was instrumental in bringing the first French ski instructors to the northwest ski areas. Its name is derived from the numerous natural springs that are found throughout the region. There are three springs on the resort's property. Spout Springs has 2 double chair lifts, a 21 KM cross country trail system, night skiing (the entire area is lighted), and one of the states few free tubing hills. In the late 60's, Spout Springs was the Nordic training center for the United States Olympic team and the Norwegian jump team. Spout Springs flies the Olympic Flag for this distinction.
