    Buttermilk Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Alsea River - North Fork next to Buttermilk Lake, and if you came to camp Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a delightful location to do that. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Buttermilk Lake reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Buttermilk Lake. Buttermilk Lake is  
   a reasonably wet place usually with much rain; most of the rain falls during December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Siletz River, and Buttermilk Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Big Elk Campground is a nice local campground. The view of School Hill from Buttermilk Lake is lovely, and some of the water nearby flows, like Austin Creek. You'll wish for more hours
 
               in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Buttermilk Lake.
These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting things to do in the Coast Ranges. The Horse Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and lots of people from Corvallis come here. Buttermilk Lake is located in the Coast Ranges.
