Butterfly Lake is a lake worth visiting. While you're here at Butterfly Lake you can play some golf at Forest Hills Country Club, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Threemile Lake. All through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 70's at Butterfly Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Butterfly Lake. If you want a delightful

| | time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Butterfly Lake. There's wonderful hiking along the Threemile Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Butterfly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elbow Lake Campground is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Butterfly Lake is near Tahkenitch Lake Dam which is a lovely site certainly worth going to, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Salbasgeon Inn Of Reedsport. This lake is one | |

of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. All the water falling down from the sky makes Butterfly Lake a wet location; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least
amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Butterfly Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Crown Zellerback Campground is a great local campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting
soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millicoma River - West Fork. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Elbow Lake is a tremendous lake next to Butterfly Lake. Elbow
Lake Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and if you need a site to stay Economy Inn Reedsport is a perfect choice.

Carter Lake
 | Carter Lake is a really great place for friendly family fun. The lake is great for canoeing and fishing, warm enough to swim and frolick. The camp sites are varied with some along the lake and others along the dune. Speaking of the dune, the walk up and over the dune to the beach is great. There are many mosqitoes in the swampy part so beware!... |
Little North Woahink Lake
 | I was born here and in my 50 years, this is the very first time I've heard of Little North Woahink lake. At first I thought perhaps the author was talking about Little Woahink which is a tiny dammed private lake/reservoir off a northern arm of Woahink off Canary RD or maybe this was a tiny lake in the vacinity I'd never heard of, so I hunted around a little bit. Nope. There is no North Little Woahink. The author was simply referring to Woahink, which btw, is a nice destination for summer water skiing or picnicing, especially because of it's very close approximity to Honeyman State Park and it's campground. Honeyman has very comfortable ammenities. Check out the yerts!... |
