While you're here at Butterfly Lake you can play some golf at Forest Hills Country Club, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Threemile Lake. All through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 70's at Butterfly Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Butterfly Lake. If you want a delightful       time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Butterfly Lake. There's wonderful hiking along the Threemile Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Butterfly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elbow Lake Campground is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Butterfly Lake is near Tahkenitch Lake Dam which is a lovely site certainly worth going to, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Salbasgeon Inn Of Reedsport. This lake is one                  of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. All the water falling down from the sky makes Butterfly Lake a wet location; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Butterfly Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Crown Zellerback Campground is a great local campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millicoma River - West Fork. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Elbow Lake is a tremendous lake next to Butterfly Lake.
