Take a little visit to Kasch Creek if you're here at Burglund Pond. Kromer Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out; there's good hiking along the Fanton Plaza Trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bull Run, and the Dry Ridge Trail offers       hiking at its best. Just can't get enough of Burglund Pond. A magnificent site to camp here at Burglund Pond is Eagle Fern Camp; if you need a site to stay Best Western Sandy Inn is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest; Holiday Inn Express PORTLAND-EAST (TROUTDALE) is a wonderful place to get some rest. The high level of rainfall makes Burglund Pond a relatively wet place; the month of December                  is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. A nice place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Burglund Pond is Eagle Creek; since you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Springwater Golf Course. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Burglund Pond; Eagle Creek Cutoff is a great local trail, and do have a look at Shockley Reservoir, it's a pretty lake. High temperatures at Burglund Pond during the summer are in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's.
