are delightful to visit, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Bull Run. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Big Sandy Reservoir, and there's tremendous
hiking along the Eagle Creek Cutoff. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the Central Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some tremendous whitewater, and the Fanton Plaza Trail offers hiking at its best.
