    It's always fun to stop by Buffalo Lake. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Buffalo Dam; there's great hiking along the Rattlesnake Trail. Buffalo Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Call Meadow Trail, and a short tour to Owen Spring is always worthwhile.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Rock Springs Campground is always a fine experience, and of course, A spree to Badger Canyon
 
   is always fun. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Buffalo Lake. Camping is available at Ray Cole Campground; if you need a location to stay Burns - Days Inn Ponderosa is a fine choice. Through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Buffalo Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at  
               Buffalo Lake fall into the 20's.
Just can't get enough of the Blue Mountains. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Hall Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Buffalo Lake; Fawn Spring Trail is a fine local trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more enjoyable things to do in the Blue Mountains. Buffalo Lake is not the only spot close by, Sherwood Lake is a close by lake. At Buffalo Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July.
