Since you're here at Buether Reservoir why not stop at Cottonwood Canyon, and if you need a site to stay Shaniko Historic Hotel is a pleasant choice. A nice location to camp here at Buether Reservoir is Deschutes River State Recreation Area, and dry warm beds await you at Tall Winds Motel. Whitewater paddling is perfect on White River.
