    The beauty of Buck Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not explore Dutch Reservoir near Buck Reservoir, and don't leave Buck Reservoir without first paying a visit to Doby Spring. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Blue Mountains has to offer.
Buck Reservoir is pretty dried out typically; November is the wettest month with most rain while September
 
   is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Little Summit Campground is a splendid site to do that; going for a hike on the Owl Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Any time is a tremendous time at Buck Reservoir if you like the outdoors. Near Buck Reservoir you find the Coffeepot Trail which is a glorious hiking trail; a journey to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is recommended.

               things in one place! The Blue Mountains rocks! There's so much to do here at Buck Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Tree Campground is a fine spot for that, and on a gorgeous day you get a fine sight of Bear Butte from Buck Reservoir. There are other sites here than Buck Reservoir, for example Eagle Reservoir, and the Black Canyon Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. During the summer highs here at Buck Reservoir reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Buck Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
