    If you are in Clackamas county it's always a good idea to stop by Brookforest Pond. It's a glorious idea to have a look at North Fork Corral Creek, it's close to Brookforest Pond; the summit of Pleasant Hill can be seen from Brookforest Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Butte Creek near Brookforest Pond. There's so much to do here at Brookforest Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Roamer's Rest RV Park is a perfect place for that,  
   and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Krause Springs.
Brookforest Pond is not far at all from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, and a pleasant visit to Onion Flat is a fine way to spend an afternoon. All the water falling down from the sky makes Brookforest Pond a wet spot; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Portland (Wilsonville), Or, and Timothy Lake is a nearby
 
               lake that you could explore.
This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Loewen Reservoir, and for you golfers we recommend nearby King City Golf Course. Through the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Brookforest Pond. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Brookforest Pond. You truly must adore Brookforest Pond. Brookforest Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Pheasant Ridge RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and Best Western Northwind Inn & Suites is a wonderful place to get some rest.

Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible....

Sturgeon Lake is a GREAT place to fish at on Sauvie Island. For exsample, There are WARM WATER SPECIES like: CATFISH, BASS, PANFISH, PERCH, WALLEYE & LOT MORE! There are COLD WATER SPECIES in the lake too, like: Trout. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECALLY IN FALL....
