This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lemiti Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and don't leave Brook Lake without first going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22. Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Olallie Meadow is a tremendous place, and fine hiking is available along the Boundary Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too nice to be true. While
you're here at Brook Lake, you could also check out wonderful Russ Lake; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt. Hood Ski Bowl.
Brook Lake gets much water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. Do go to Jude Lake in the neighborhood of Brook Lake, it's a lovely lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clackamas River. Summer

brings highs in the 70's to Brook Lake. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's while Brook Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's.
From Brook Lake you acquire a brilliant vista of Cinder Cone; hiking is a popular thing to do around Brook Lake; Blue Lake Camas Prairie Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
Brook Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Brook Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Trout Lake Campground is a fine local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Marion Creek offers some nice whitewater.

This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....
