And if that's not enough there's lots more enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Get covered with water paddling on Clackamas River, and a visit to Olallie Meadow invigorates the spirit. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Lemiti Campground is a great local campground, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl since you're here.       This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Marion Creek is so much fun, and the Boundary Trail offers hiking at its best. At Brook Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Brook Lake drop into the 30's. A good vista of striking Cinder Cone is available from Brook Lake; Brook Lake                  is right by the Blue Lake Camas Prairie Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Brook Lake. There are other sites here than Brook Lake, for example First Lake, and Brook Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Trout Lake Campground is a great location to camp nearby. There's tremendous hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22; not far from Brook Lake you'll stumble on Russ Lake which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Brook Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December, and July on the other hand is the driest.
