There are some fine whitewater       spots on Umpqua River - South; South Umpqua Inn Lodge & Hotel is a good place to get some rest. The yearly rain here at Briggs Reservoir is about average; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. Having a good time in the Southern Cascade Range is painless.
