Beautiful Brahma Lake has much to offer visitors. If you came to camp Upper Campground is a fine location to do that, and why not head up to Willamette Pass and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of Irish Mountain from Brahma Lake is stunning, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Packsaddle Mountain Trail. Summertime at Brahma Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures
are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Brahma Lake are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Cougar Flat revitalizes the spirit. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. A day on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor is just what you need, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend McKenzie River - South Fork. Just can't get enough

of Brahma Lake. There's so much to do here at Brahma Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a great location for that, and nearby you stumble on the Lakeside Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Central Cascade Range. Looking for something in the vicinity of Brahma Lake? Pocket Lake is in the vicinity, and the Winopee Lake Trail is a great hiking trail close by. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Horse Creek; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Red Slide Lake is just a very short distance away. Brahma Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range.

Winopee Lake
Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....

Davis Lake
13 miles away
This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....
