It's always fun to stop by Bounty Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bounty Lake; Nash Lake Trail is a fine local trail. Lakes? Sure, Camelot Lake is around here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Upper Campground is a pleasant place to do that, and pretty scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Hoodoo. So much amusing stuff in the Central Cascade

| | Range, just remarkable. What would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Bachelor, and at Bounty Lake you can catch a sight of The House Rock. Bounty Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a splendid time at Bounty Lake is uncomplicated. Mesa Springs is a pretty place to go to while you're at Bounty Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Horse Lake | |

Winopee Lake
 | Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there.... |
