This lake is so wonderful. The top of Lucky Butte is easily observed from Boot Lake, and float down the rapids of Horse Creek in a kayak. So many entertaining things in the Central Cascade Range, just fantastic. Lakes? Sure, Cliff Lake is around here, and why not camp at East Lake Resort and RV Parks since you're here at Boot Lake. Summertime highs at Boot Lake typically tend to be in the 80's, and all through       the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Boot Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Willamette Pass, and Mink Lake Basin is a pleasant site. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Mt. Bachelor                  is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and Upper Campground is a wonderful local campground. Boot Lake gets lots of water; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail in the vicinity of Boot Lake called the Lake Way, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Mink Lake Loop Trail. Any time is a wonderful time at Boot Lake if you adore the outdoors. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Vogel Lake, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Mud Lake Trail.
