Blue Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Having a pleasant time in the Central Cascade Range is easy. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Marion Creek; hiking along the Blue Lake Trail is nice fun. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Black Butte Resort is a good location for that; since you're here at Blue Lake it's a pleasant idea to visit Eight Lakes Basin. This lake is so wonderful.

panorama of Green Peak from Blue Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cold Springs Resort. All through the summer at Blue Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. All
through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Blue Lake.
If the weather is glorious here at Blue Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pine Ridge Trail; the slopes of Hoodoo are so inviting noone can resist.
