There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Mt. Bachelor is a delightful local ski area, and McKenzie River - South Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day at Billy Lake you can take a hike along the Crain Prairie Trail, and whitewater paddling is fine on Horse Creek. Billy Lake commonly gets much precipitation;       all through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. Here at Billy Lake you can see Taylor Butte, and why not camp at Twin Springs Campground since you're here at Billy Lake. Billy Lake is not the only place close by, North Torrey Lake is a close by lake, and a lake                  nearby is Helen Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Billy Lake.
