If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Big Lake. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Black Butte Resort is a tremendous place for that; the South Loop Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A fine spot for whitewater paddling next to Big Lake is Horse Creek, and you can stay the night at Suttle Lake Resort and Marina. All the water falling down from the sky

| | makes Big Lake a wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Dollar Nine Lake near Big Lake; going for a hike on the Thirsty Camp Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Summertime highs at Big Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, commonly in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows during
the winter for Big Lake tend to be in the 20's. And if that's not enough there's a heap more cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Hoodoo is near Big Lake, and Hidden Valley is also a
great spot to explore. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Hayrick Butte is a peak you can make out from Big Lake, and you can run the rapids of Marion Creek.
Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are in fact plentiful
here at Big Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and don't leave Big Lake without first paying a visit to Coldwater Spring.
