These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Big Eddy is Illinois River, and do put some time aside to spend at Crooked Riffle while you're here at Big Eddy. Big Eddy is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. Big Eddy is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, McCurdy Campground       is a delightful local campground; going for a hike along the Mountain Wells Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. The warmest time of the year at Big Eddy comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Big Eddy tend to be in the 30's. You absolutely should love the Coast Ranges. Big Eddy                  is not the only location close by, Smith Hole is a close by lake, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Snow Camp Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Big Eddy. Dry warm beds await you at Pacific Reef Resort; hiking along the Lower River Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Agness RV Park is a wonderful place to do that; you can run the rapids of Coquille River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Why not visit nearby Blue Jay Creek if you're here at Big Eddy, and Agness Bar is a great place to spend some time. If you're here at Big Eddy, checking out Twin Sisters is a must. Big Eddy typically gets much precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is mostly the driest month.
