This lake is so wonderful. Crabtree Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, obviously you could also stop at Calvins Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. High temperatures at Berthelson Pond throughout the summertime are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's,       and nighttime lows in the 30's for Berthelson Pond. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Berthelson Pond called the Crabtree Lake Trail. After a long day outdoors Sweet Home Inn is a delightful location to spend a night or two; you'll meet a lot of folks from Albany-Lebanon here. Yeah, come here to Berthelson Pond for a good time. The Snow Peak Mill City Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Berthelson Pond, and if you're here and you like golf,                  you can check out Mallard Creek Golf Course. Camping at Berthelson Pond is nice fun, Woods Trailer RV Park is a nice local campground, and if you need a place to stay Valley Inn is a good choice. From a rain point of view Berthelson Pond is a reasonably common location; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is typically the driest month.
