Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Prospect Mountain is scenic and can be spotted from Bentz Ponds, and Jordan Valley is in close proximity, and is a glorious site. Oregon Garden Resort is a good site to get some rest; the Snow Peak Mill City Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. This lake is so       wonderful. Why not camp at Silver Falls Conference Center while you're here at Bentz Ponds, and unsurprisingly Bilyeu Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Bentz Ponds. Zurfluhs Ponds is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and if you come at the right time of year, Crabtree Creek offers some perfect whitewater. Bentz Ponds sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year                  is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. At Bentz Ponds throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Bentz Ponds. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Camping is available at John Neal Memorial County Park, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Sublimity is a fine choice. You'll meet a lot of people from Albany-Lebanon here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Bentz Ponds you find a golf course called Santiam Golf Club; there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Crabtree Lake Trail.
