The beauty of Benson Lake is reason enough to stop by. Camping at Benson Lake is good fun, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a good local campground; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Deer Butte Trail. A lot of rainfall falls at Benson Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.

| | Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and get dripping wet paddling on Horse Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Benson Lake, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, usually in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 20's for Benson Lake. Benson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range.

into a kayak and hit Marion Creek. That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. After a long day outdoors Sleepy Hollow Motel is a perfect location to spend a night or
two, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Bachelor in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Benson Lake, for example Coffee Lake, and on a gorgeous day you get a nice view of Scott Mountain from
Benson Lake.
Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. A glorious close by hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Butler Spring. What a
site this is for outdoors people. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hoodoo; Benson Lake is a perfect spot to camp, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a perfect spot.
