    Do stop by Bee Reservoir while you're in this part of Oregon. Visiting John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; nearby you discover the Owl Creek Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Blue Mountains. A perfect place right next door to Bee Reservoir is Buck Hollow, and going for a hike on the Coffeepot Trail is always a great  
   adventure. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Blue Mountains.
Not much rain falls here at Bee Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains. Camping at Twin Springs Campground is always a brilliant experience, and the peak of Big Rattlesnake Butte can be seen from Bee Reservoir.
Life's too short to enjoy
 
               all the cool things in close proximity to Bee Reservoir. A visit to Bee Reservoir wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Higgins Spring; there are perfect places to explore along the Black Canyon Trail. Summer at Bee Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Bee Reservoir night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Bee Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Little Summit Campground is a great local campground, and you're probably interested in lakes, Camp Reservoir is one of those nearby.
