    A visit to Beaverdam Reservoir is always a good idea. Beaverdam Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains. Don't leave Beaverdam Reservoir without first paying a visit to Hat Spring, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaverdam Reservoir; Black Canyon Trail is a fine local trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. The views at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind, and if you came for an overnight stay Pine Tree Campground  
   is a nice spot to camp.
This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the South Prong Trail; camping at Beaverdam Reservoir is nice fun, Fish House Inn is a nice local campground. So many entertaining things near Beaverdam Reservoir, truly extraordinary. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Coffeepot Trail, and do visit Aspen Reservoir, it's a lovely lake.
During the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Beaverdam Reservoir, and
 
               through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Beaverdam Reservoir. Beaverdam Reservoir gets very little rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is September.
