The beauty of Beaver Lake is reason enough to stop by. A beautiful lake like Abbot Lake in the vicinity of Beaver Lake is a great spot to stop at, and Tansy Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Red Lion Inn Astoria, and everybody loves Hammond Boat Basin. The warmest time of the year at Beaver Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's, and throughout the night it cools

| | down to the 40's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Beaver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Astoria Golf & Country Club, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Cannon Beach Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. and the driest month is July. So much entertaining stuff in the Coast Ranges, just extraordinary. A delightful swamp in close proximity to Beaver Lake is Brallier Swamp, and K O A Kampgrounds is a wonderful local campground. If only
every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. A day at pretty Sunset Beach near Beaver Lake is a perfect thing to do; if you came for an overnight stay Fort Stevens State Park is a good site
to camp. While you're here at Beaver Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Astoria; Best Western Astoria Inn is a good place to get some rest. And that's not all the things to do here in the Coast Ranges. Do stop by Crabapple

Driftwood RV Park
 | 11 miles away ...Long Beach peninsula at the mouth of the Columbia river. The Park is 2. 2 acres with 56 sites on it. All sites are grass, tables at each site, full hook-up with cable and Wi-Fi available. We are 2. 5 blocks from the beach and 14 blocks from downtown. We have showers, laundry, and a meeting hall available to groups. Our Park is perpendicular to the highway so most sites are well away from the road. There are hiking and bicycling trails, a national wildlife refuge, two beautiful light houses and much history dating back to Lewis and Clark's discovery in 1805. A great place to do exploring, fishing, hiking, and just being able to set on the beach and enjoy nature.
