    In Oregon there are many beautiful lakes, Bearwallow Reservoir is one of them. Bearwallow Reservoir gets very little rainfall; through the month of December you get the most snow around here while July is ordinarily the driest month. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wildhorse River; Bearwallow Gulch is also a pleasant location to look at. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more  
   exciting stuff to do here at Bearwallow Reservoir. If you need a location to stay Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a good choice; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit R K Moseley Dam.
High temperatures at Bearwallow Reservoir throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Bearwallow
 
               Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's. Camping at McCornick Campground is always a good experience, and if the weather is delightful, you get a delightful view of Mehlhorn Butte from Bearwallow Reservoir. And that's not all the things to do here in the Wallowa Mountains.
So many enjoyable things in the Wallowa Mountains, just remarkable. A quick journey to Beecher Creek in the vicinity of Bearwallow Reservoir is a perfect idea, and there's good hiking along the Kettle Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Copperfield Campground; pleasant hiking is available along the Martin Bridge Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wallowa Mountains.
