Bear Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A great deal of rain falls at Bear Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. The panorama of Coffin Mountain from Bear Lake is lovely, and Mud Puppy Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Bear Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you

at Lodge at Suttle Lake. So much amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Why not stop at close by Bear Lake Creek since you're here at Bear Lake; there are magnificent spots to explore along the Straight Creek Cat Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid spot to camp here at Bear Lake is Detroit Lake State Park, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Santiam River - North.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the

Central Cascade Range. Near Bear Lake you stumble on the Bachelor Mountain Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and the snow is magnificent at Hoodoo. For the duration of the months of summer at Bear Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Bear Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bear Lake. Going for a hike on the Coffin Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure, and while you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Cold Spring Reservoir.
In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Breitenbush River, and camping is available at B and B Rentals.
