    Go to Bays Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious places to explore along the Jefferson Park Trail; a wonderful nearby hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bays Lake, and the night is rather colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Bays Lake. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range.  
   Collawash River is a fine whitewater spot near Bays Lake, and you ought to definitely take a look at Jefferson Park Glacier while here.
After a long day outdoors Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Bays Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Hoodoo has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff, and going for a hike on the South Breitenbush Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
 
               And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Marion Creek near Bays Lake; why not camp at Trout Lake Campground if you're here at Bays Lake. Bays Lake gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls throughout December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Yeah, come here to Bays Lake for a brilliant time. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Bays Lake is Dinah-mo Peak, and lakes are such calm spots, why not stop by Rock Lake.
You'll find a beautiful lake called Park Lake near Bays Lake, and nearby you discover brilliant locations like Jefferson Park. Go for a hike on the Pamelia Lake Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Lemiti Campground is a brilliant spot to camp.

Jefferson Lake Trail
I just completed this trail with my German Shepherd and had a great time. We made Jefferson Lake in 4 hours, stayed the night and returned at a faster pace, making the trailhead in 3 hours. A big portion of the trail is overgrown with 5ft. tall plant life, making the trail impossible to see. I used a compass to stay on course and bushwhack for about 3 miles, then picked up the trail again. It's obvious this trail hasn't received any attention from the forest service for some time now,so plan on using your nav skills on this one. We encountered a braver-than-average black bear while encamped at Jefferson Lake, and had difficulty finding a suitable place to hang a bear bag since all the trees are limbless due to a forest fire. My dog, Sigg, is a good bear deterrant and took the night shift guarding the food bag. If you are considering this trail, start early enough so you're not walking in the dark and bring some good jungle juice (deet). Bear bells may be useful as well. Hope this helps somebody!...
