    A visit to Bates Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Bates Pond, you could have a look at Bridge Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Deerhorn Campground is a magnificent spot to camp. Bates Dam is a place that is near Bates Pond; going for a hike along the Davis Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Nearby Placer Gulch is a good spot to go if you're at Bates Pond; while you're here you  
   can take a hike along the Lost Lake Trail.
Bates Pond gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area right next door to Bates Pond has to offer. Have a good hiking adventure along the Reynolds Creek Trail. Bates Pond is one of the lakes here in the Blue Mountains.

For the duration of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Bates Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Bates Pond tend to be in the 20's.
