Bateman Reservoir is located in the Coast Ranges. Bateman Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. Camping at Washington County Fair Grounds is always a pleasant experience,       and a delightful lake like Rails End Reservoir is a great place to pop by. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Hillsboro is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and Shipley Springs is a glorious local attraction. Bateman Reservoir gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls through December, and July is the month with the least moisture. At Bateman Reservoir throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of                  summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Bateman Reservoir temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Big Eddy County Park, and a golf course close by is Quail Valley Golf Course.
