    If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to Balance Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. On a wonderful day at Balance Lake you can take a hike along the Ragged Rocks Trail, and why not take a look at nearby Balance Creek while you're here at Balance Lake. For the duration of the months of summer at Balance Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime  
   highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while Balance Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Blue Mountains. Deerhorn Campground is a nice local campground; if you need a site to stay Rugged Country Lodge DBA Double H Investments is a fine choice.

               you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Jumpoff Joe Lake is just a very short distance away. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on John Day River - North Fork; Windy Point is pretty and can be seen from here. Balance Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains.
Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Blue Mountains rocks! Going for a hike on the Indian Rock Trail is always a great adventure, obviously you could also go to Mud Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western John Day Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. There is a delightful hiking trail near Balance Lake called the Big Boulder Trail, and a tour to Balance Spring will fill your spirit with good feelings.
At Balance Lake you don’t see much rainfall; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month.
