Babe Lake is a lake worth visiting. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Babe Lake rocks! If you came to camp Lemiti Campground is a delightful place to do that; the peak of Dinah-mo Peak can be seen from Babe Lake. There's so much to do here at Babe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trout Lake Campground is a great place for that, and you can go for a hike on the Cub Creek Trail. it all. A tremendous close by hotel is Lodge at Suttle Lake, and of course, this is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes, Pyramid Lake is a lake close at hand. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not
ever want to return home again. Get drenched paddling on Collawash River, and going for a hike on the South Breitenbush Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Hit the slopes at Hoodoo around here, and since you might be in a lake
visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Davey Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Marion Creek; good hiking is available along the Jefferson Park Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range.

Jefferson Lake Trail
 | I just completed this trail with my German Shepherd and had a great time. We made Jefferson Lake in 4 hours, stayed the night and returned at a faster pace, making the trailhead in 3 hours. A big portion of the trail is overgrown with 5ft. tall plant life, making the trail impossible to see. I used a compass to stay on course and bushwhack for about 3 miles, then picked up the trail again. It's obvious this trail hasn't received any attention from the forest service for some time now,so plan on using your nav skills on this one. We encountered a braver-than-average black bear while encamped at Jefferson Lake, and had difficulty finding a suitable place to hang a bear bag since all the trees are limbless due to a forest fire. My dog, Sigg, is a good bear deterrant and took the night shift guarding the food bag. If you are considering this trail, start early enough so you're not walking in the dark and bring some good jungle juice (deet). Bear bells may be useful as well. Hope this helps somebody!... |
