China Flat Campground is a fine campground nearby, and hiking along the Mountain Wells Trail is magnificent fun. Azalea Lake gets lots of water; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Azalea Lake you can take a hike along the Bear Camp Trail, and at Azalea Lake you always meet someone from Brookings. Man, is there       plenty of fun stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. A beautiful lake like Dry Lake near Azalea Lake is a magnificent location to stop at, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Coquille River - South Fork. You simply should have a thing about the Coast Ranges. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Coquille River - South Fork; you'll discover a pretty lake called Dads Lake. A magnificent place to have a                  look at near Azalea Lake is Agness Pass, and do have a look at Chrome Creek since you're here at Azalea Lake.
