The beauty of Avalanche Lake attracts many people from all around. Summertime highs at Avalanche Lake commonly tend to be in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 30's while Avalanche Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. There's so much to do here at Avalanche Lake that you need to camp here for a while, White Pine Campground is a nice location for that,

Why not take a refreshing hike along the Greylock Mountain Trail, and Avalanche Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Rocky Point Resort is a great local campground. and you're possibly into lakes, Weston Lake is one of those nearby. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do near Avalanche Lake. Good hiking is available along the Mountain Lakes Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on
Klamath River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. Klamath Falls Super 8 Motel
is a pleasant location to get some rest; at Avalanche Lake you can see Crater Mountain. Avalanche Lake gets a large amount of water; through the month of December you get the most snow around here; the driest month of the year is July.
