The beauty of Avalanche Lake attracts many people from all around. Avalanche Lake is a tremendous location to camp, White Pine Campground is a tremendous location, and great hiking is available along the Varney Creek Trail. Avalanche Lake gets a great deal of water; December is when you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the Southern Cascade Range. There are some great

| | whitewater spots on Klamath River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Avalanche Lake; Greylock Mountain Trail is a splendid local trail.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Avalanche Lake has to offer, you can camp at Saddle Campground, and Crater Mountain is easy to spot from Avalanche Lake.
