These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the South Prong Trail, and Fish House Inn is a glorious campground nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Aspen Reservoir. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's       for Aspen Reservoir. Any time is a great time at Aspen Reservoir if you adore the outdoors. A visit to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is recommended. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Coffeepot Trail, and Pine Tree Campground is a splendid local campground. The vista of Bear Butte from Aspen Reservoir is charming, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Crow Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to                  do around Aspen Reservoir; Black Canyon Trail is a good local trail, and not far from Aspen Reservoir you'll discover Eagle Reservoir which is a scenic lake. Aspen Reservoir is a location that is relatively dry generally; November is the wettest month with most rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month.
