If you are in Crook county it's always a good idea to stop by Aspen Reservoir. Not much rainfall falls here at Aspen Reservoir; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and September is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains.

John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a great place near Aspen Reservoir, and Aspen Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Bear Butte Reservoir is
a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. The South Prong Trail offers hiking at its best; camping at Pine Tree Campground is always a pleasant experience.
