The South Prong Trail is a glorious hiking trail near Art Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Art Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Fish House Inn is a tremendous place for that. So many exciting things to do in the Blue Mountains, not enough time. Going for a hike on the Coffeepot Trail is always a fine adventure, and Art Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Viewpoint Reservoir is a nearby       lake. The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of Art Reservoir. Stay the night at Pine Tree Campground; a lake close by is Cayuse Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant spree to Holding Pasture is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and Basin Creek is near Art Reservoir and is always a pleasure to visit. Visiting John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and do                  put some time aside to spend at Hobble Spring if you're here at Art Reservoir. Around Art Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. Near Art Reservoir you find the Black Canyon Trail which is a good hiking trail. Through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Art Reservoir. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's.
