The beauty of Applegate Lake is reason enough to stop by. The amount of rainfall that falls at Applegate Lake is close to the national average; throughout December this area sees the most rain; the driest month is July. If you come at the right time of year, Scott River offers some glorious whitewater, and hiking along the Horse Camp Trail
is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Jacksonville Inn is a nice choice. There's so much to do here at Applegate Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cook and Green Campground is a wonderful location
for that. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Near Applegate Lake you stumble on tremendous locations like Black Gulch, and do explore Applegate Dam if you're here.
