    A visit to Applegate Lake is always a good idea. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Applegate Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Applegate Lake are in the 20's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Siskiyou Mountains has to offer. Getting to Grouse Creek from Applegate Lake is trouble-free; paddling  
   on Klamath River is so much fun. You're most likely keen on lakes, Summit Lake is one of those nearby, and a tremendous close by hotel is Best Western Windsor Inn.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Squaw Lakes is close to Applegate Lake, and going for a hike on the Horse Camp Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Applegate Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month of the year is July.
 
               You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Go for a hike on the Low Gap Trail, and float down the rapids of Scott River in a kayak.
Having a nice time in the Siskiyou Mountains is painless. There's so much to do here at Applegate Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hutton Campground is a fine spot for that, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn At The Rogue is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Applegate Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cook and Green Campground is a good local campground. Near Applegate Lake you come across glorious locations like Black Gulch, and an out of the ordinary thing to pop by in the vicinity of Applegate Lake is Applegate Dam.
The Siskiyou Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
