     The beauty of Anvil Lake attracts many people from all around. So many exciting things in the Central Cascade Range, just incredible. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Skyline Alternate Trail; why not camp at Hambone Springs Campground since you're here at Anvil Lake. Throughout the summertime months here at Anvil Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs  
   in the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Anvil Lake. While you're here at Anvil Lake, you could also check out gorgeous Buck Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Whispering Woods (Vri) is a tremendous location to spend a night or two; the skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is great. Anvil Lake is right by the Hambone Trail, and do visit Dinger Lake, it's a lovely lake. Having a good time at Anvil Lake is painless. A brilliant place for
 
               whitewater paddling close to Anvil Lake is Clackamas River, and Black Wolf Meadows is right here at Anvil Lake.
And that's not everything you can do here in the Central Cascade Range. The peak of Wolf Peak can be made out from Anvil Lake, and Mount Hood Inn is a nice site to get some rest. Anvil Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Zigzag River is a good whitewater spot next to Anvil Lake, and everyone close by loves skiing at Timberline Lodge.
Anvil Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. Take a hike on the Cool Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Kinzel Lake Campground is a pleasant location to camp.

Forest Trail 742, without gear. After you've scoped the area, come back and stay. Even on Labor Day Weekend ('06) there were several campsites available in this dispersed camp area....
