Do stop by Alligator Lake while you're in this part of Oregon. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Alligator Lake has to offer, you can camp at Big Twin Lakes Campground, and a great close by hotel is Steamboat Inn. Lots of rain falls at Alligator Lake; most of the rain falls through November, and July is the month with the least moisture. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | Lakes are pleasant; Carmen Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Alligator Lake, and naturally Black Rock Fork flows through this neighborhood. Just can't get enough of Alligator Lake. Going for a hike on the Copeland Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and Copland Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby.

Alligator Lake is a good spot to camp, Buckhead Mountain Campground is a good spot. All year is a glorious time in the Central Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go
whitewater paddling on Jackson Creek; after a long day outdoors Union Creek Resort is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Good hiking is available along the BVD Trail; a tour to Deer Lick Falls will fill your soul with glorious
feelings.
For the duration of the months of summer here at Alligator Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Alligator Lake.
