That right there is a heap of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. While you're here at Alforja Lake you can take a hike along the Maxwell Trail, and Latigo Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Lava Trail; Santiam River - North has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.       The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. If you need a site to stay Lodge at Suttle Lake is a fine choice, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marion Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Tombstone Prairie Campground is a great spot to camp, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Duffy Lake Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Alforja Lake. Summer                  night lows fall down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Alforja Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Green Creek; if the weather is beautiful, you acquire a wonderful sight of Duffy Butte from Alforja Lake.
