Alford Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Alford Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month is July. People from Eugene-Springfield love to come to Alford Pond. Willamette River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by, and a good close by hotel is Value Inn Eugene. | | the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Alford Pond temperatures descend to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Diamond Hill RV Park is a great local campground, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Calapooia River. If you need a location to stay Travelodge Pioneer Villa is a splendid choice; Eugene Camping world is a splendid campground nearby.
