Get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Sandy River, and after a long day outdoors Resort at the Mountain is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. So many amusing things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too nice to be true. The Eagle Creek Cutoff is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity       of Alder Reservoir, and Brownell Spring is a magnificent local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in close proximity to Alder Reservoir? Big Sandy Reservoir is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail near Alder Reservoir called the Fanton Plaza Trail, and a brilliant place to camp here at Alder Reservoir is Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest. Just can't get enough of Alder Reservoir. Alder                  Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Bigfoot Lodge and Trailer Court is a nice local campground, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Sandy Inn. All year is a great time in the Central Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Near Alder Reservoir you stumble on the Old Baldy Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; get covered with water paddling on Sandy River. Whisky Creek is a stream that you may come across during your stay; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Marmot Diversion Dam. A large amount of precipitation falls at Alder Reservoir; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Alder Reservoir highs are frequently in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
