    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Agate Reservoir. Agate Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Southern Cascade Range. Summer at Agate Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Agate Reservoir. Fish Lake Resort is a good local campground, and this is a popular place for folks from Medford.
If
 
   you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Agate Reservoir. Medford Oaks Campark is a nice campground nearby, and there's some flowing water nearby, Spring Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here. All year is a nice time in the Southern Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Harper Reservoir is one of those close by, and why not stop by Agate Dam if you're here. Why not take a refreshing  
               hike along the Buck Point Trail, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn Suites White City is a good place to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Homewood Suites by Hilton Medford is a tremendous choice, and golf can be played at Stone Ridge Golf Course. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Agate Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Butte Creek. Agate Reservoir gets very little rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. You can see Tater Hill from Agate Reservoir; hiking is a popular thing to do around Agate Reservoir; Alco Trail is a tremendous local trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Rogue River. Lakes are tremendous; Nelson Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Agate Reservoir. There's nice hiking along the Mount Ashland Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mt. Ashland.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
