If you are in Jackson county it's always a good idea to stop by Agate Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place to camp here at Agate Reservoir is Medford Oaks Campark, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Homewood Suites by Hilton Medford. Paddling on Rogue River is so much fun, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Agate Reservoir; Mount Ashland Trail is a nice local trail. Just can't get enough of Agate Reservoir. Agate Reservoir is right by

| | the Buck Point Trail.
But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Agate Reservoir. A lake close by is Harper Reservoir; Tater Hill is charming and can be seen from here. So many fun things to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time. Agate Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Fish Lake Resort is a nice local campground, naturally you could also go to Nelson Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. at Agate Reservoir generally; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Southern Cascade Range. Really tremendous
skiing awaits you at Mt. Ashland, and the scenery at Agate Dam is gorgeous. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Spring Creek, and if you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn Suites White City is
a great choice. Agate Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range.
You'll meet a lot of people from Medford here; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Big Butte Creek. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Agate Reservoir,
and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Agate Reservoir dip into the 30's. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Stone Ridge Golf Course, and the Alco Trail offers hiking at its best.
