If you come at the right time of year, Kalama River offers some glorious whitewater, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Georges Peak Trail. An interesting thing to pop by next to Lake Adams is Lloyd Hill Dam, and Lake Adams is not far at all from Longview-Kelso. Hit the beach if you want, Goble Beach is practically right here; there are some good whitewater spots on Goble Creek.       Lakes? Sure, Oak Ridge Lake is close by, and naturally McBride Creek is a scenic stream that is worth checking out. A spree to Deer Island Point close to Lake Adams is always a nice idea, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Oak Meadows Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to Lake Adams, you might not ever wanna return home again. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lake Adams get into the 70's. During the                  moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Lake Adams. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Adams. If you came for an overnight stay Columbia Riverfront RV Park is a fine spot to camp, and Muckle Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps are attention-grabbing places and Benham Slough close to Lake Adams is no exception, and Louis L Rasmussen RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Adams a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
