The slopes of Willamette Pass are so inviting nobody can resist, and hey, Bechel Creek is a fine local stream. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Lakes are such serene locations, why not visit Arrowhead Lake near Abernethy Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Abernethy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Twin Springs Campground. This lake is so wonderful.       A tour to Abernethy Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Salt Creek Falls, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Yoran Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Hills Creek next to Abernethy Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Salt Creek is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Abernethy Lake, and you can stay the night at Shelter Cove Resort. Abernethy Lake gets lots of water;                  the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. On a good day at Abernethy Lake you can take a hike along the Fuji Mountain Trail, and on a great day you can visit Mule Prairie, a swamp close to Abernethy Lake. High temperatures at Abernethy Lake all through the summertime are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Abernethy Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
