You don’t have to go far from Whittington Lake to distinguish the water at Whittington Lake Dam, and Whittington Lake is a tremendous site to camp, Ardmore/Marietta KOA is a tremendous site. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Whittington Lake, you could also have a look at close by Burk Lake; Wester Creek       is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Southwinds, and if you're dropping by from Gainesville, you won't be the only one. David's RV Trailer Park is a splendid campground here; Microtel Inns & Suites Thackerville, Ok is a glorious place to get some rest. At Whittington Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 70's. For the period of the wintertime                  this place gets highs in the 50's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Whittington Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
